In the book Freak The Mighty by Rodman Philbrick chapter 16 describes how Killer Kane comes back into Max's life. In the begining Max is startled when he wakes up with his dad covering his mouth. He makes Max get up to get on the move. After that Killer Kane and Max get out of the house as quiet as they can and start walking outside. For some reason Max's feet keep walking without him having to tell the where to go. That leads to Max and his dad walking to a familiar house. Once he gets in he is welcomed by Lorreta and Iggy. After a long morning Killer Kane and Max get gross hamburgers to eat while they figure out where they are going to stay. In chapter 16 of freak the mighty by Rodman Philbrick states that people aren't always the way they seem.
